Main mission

We are seeking a qualified Social Media Manager to be the humanizing face for Babolat's online global presence.  Based in Louisville, Colorado and reporting to the Global Communications Manager, this position will be responsible for advocating our brand on social networks. In conjunction with the Communication Manager, the Social Media Manager will create the brand's own social persona and actively reach out within the online community to connect with potential customers by managing communications in both directions and across numerous channels. As our brand advocate, the Social Media Manager will create content, respond to comments, answer questions, and much more!   



Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Build the Community -  In an engaging and creative manner, identify and inspire new ambassadors while nurturing the current ones who know and support our brand.

  • Engage the Community - Monitor and engage in relevant discussion about our company and industry, both from our existing customers, as well as leads from brand new audiences that don't yet know us.

  • Create Campaigns - Inspire consumer engagement, nurture retention and convert fans and followers into buyers from all sources - traditional and social. Drive new business with timely and creative events, promotions, couponing, sampling, etc.

  • Create and Distribute High-Quality Content - Create shareable, exciting content that will spread the word about the Babolat brand. Be the expert on all the social networks, blogs and forums. Build and manage the company's social media profiles and presence including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest. Collaborate with partner and professional athlete community managers as needed.

  • Drive Traffic & Analyze Metrics -  Consistently drive relevant traffic and leads from our trade, consumer and social network presence.  Analyze and maximize key traditional and social audiences using appropriate metrics.

  • Live Activation - Manage live social media activations with partners and professional athletes.


Expected Work Flow:

  • 30% - Engaging in conversations with communities or prospects / responding to and helping customers

  • 30% - Building brand visibility and credibility / writing or curating social content

  • 15% - Strategizing and planning / researching opportunities to connect with new consumers

  • 15% - Blogging

  • 10% - Analyzing efforts to drive maximum traffic and meet KPIs / discussions regarding next steps


Qualifications / Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications, Business Marketing or related field from four-year College or University.  Three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • Proven success record with prior social media experience is required.  Prior experience in the tennis or sporting goods industry is highly preferred.

  • Must maintain cutting-edge knowledge of the fast-changing nature of social media, ensuring new opportunities for engaging with customers.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create engaging and creative content is required.

  • Ability and willingness to work various hours including evenings and weekends.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity, and continued willingness to take initiative a must.

  • Must be proficient in Photoshop, MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with Digital/Social Listening tools (Sprinklr, Brandwatch, etc.) preferred.

Travel Required:

  • 15% travel required (Both international and domestic).
