Main mission

We are seeking to recruit a Badminton Operational Marketing Manager W/M.

The position is based to the China Office (Shangai).

The operational marketing manager badminton Asia is responsible for the implementation and efficiency of a detailed operational marketing plan, in China and subsequently in the Asian countries (taking into account their specificities). He/she manages a marketing budget, manages at his/her level, the agencies and third parties that work for him/her.

Activities

  1. Recommendation and follow-up of studies

He/She recommends the development of studies, validation, piloting, understanding of the consumer: observations, focus groups, surveys on and offline... evaluation of the performance of the implemented action plans, which he/she will be able to conduct by himself in a pragmatic way.

 

  1. Business Intelligence

He/She sets up a permanent business intelligence (marketing actions conducted by competitors, …) analyzes and makes recommendations. He/she works closely with trade-marketing managers in Asia, synthesizes the markets feedbacks.

 

  1. Define and implement the marketing plan

Starting from the strategic objective and strategy and outline of the marketing plan, defined by the Badminton Marketing Director, he/she builds and recommends a detailed action plan. He/She ensures the feasibility of this plan and the respect of the budget.

He/she works closely with trade-marketing in China and other Asian countries to monitor and implement this plan. He/she ensures the overall coherence, the respect of the brand positioning and validates any adaptations to the countries of Asia.

The actions to be defined and implemented include:

  • The operational aspects of the communication on of offline
  • The social networks plan and the influencers plan
  • The monitoring of the updated content of the website, the various applications
  • Organization and monitoring of events and marketing operations
  • Development and management of promotional offers on and offline
  • The development and follow-up of merchandising tools
  • The production of test products (getting started, " first trial ") in places of practice (relayed and deployed locally in each country by local teams)
  • Sales support tools (catalog, product listings, tutorials, webinars etc)
  • Etc.

  1. Monitoring

He/She defines KPIS for each of these actions, analyzes the results, and synthesizes them to issue optimization recommendations.

 

  1. Budget management

He/she is responsible for the budget allocated on his/her perimeter. He/she ensures the efficiency of the actions carried out, the optimization of the costs, the respect of the defined envelope.

 

  1. Management of external agencies and service providers

In close collaboration with the agencies (communication, graphics, merchandising etc.,) he/she provides them with a clear and precise brief, challenges, motivates, shares and validates KPIS to achieve the desired results in the detailed marketing plan.

He/she ensures the follow-up of the starting brief and the proper execution.

 

Profile

He/She's based in Shanghai. He/she reports to the Badminton Marketing Director, and from a  for writing arguments, content etc.

functional point of view, to the Director of the China subsidiary, who oversees all day to day staff matters and coordination for the “Asia Babolat Base Camp”.

 


Higher education (equivalent of min BA, preferably MBA) with a marketing major. An experience in the sports business would be a plus.

 

Minimum 7 years' experience in operational marketing, trade-marketing; good knowledge of on-and off-line distribution in China.

Experience in project management.

English fluent. Native Chinese.

Advanced proficiency in Pack Office.
