Main mission

We are looking for a marketing manager for our subsidiary Babolat based in Shanghai, China. She/he : 

  1. Is in charge of applying the marketing group Sports strategy (Tennis – Padel) to its country by using the tools at his (her) disposal and by creating the ones necessary for an efficient localization

  2. Is in charge of defining and proposing the execution plan for Tennis and Padel in collaboration with other departments

  3. Is responsible for brand communication & activation, including social media

  4. Is a business facilitator by building and maintaining market data intelligence tool

  5. Is in charge of the current and potential local partnerships with external stakeholders to increase the performance of the brand, in line with the Group guidelines and localization needs

  6. Is the marketing and brand activation key contact with its colleagues at HQ in China / France

  7. Is in charge of building its department budget and to manage it with performance focus

  8. Set-up and follow development projects


Team management, local and International projects management

  1. Manage 1 Sport Marketing and 1 Merchandising/Product Data position

  2. Drive marketing plans, projects and their implementation in the subsidiary

  3. Participate to transversal workshop with HQ by representing China marketing department to ensure the Sports alignment with the needs of the subsidiary


Marketing & Brand Activation Responsibilities in China :

  1. Defining operational plan and its implementation based on Group strategy by sports

  2. Build local communication of plan and its execution of the subsidiary (social media, others)

  3. Respect and ensure coherence of brand positioning and brand image (social media, events, business support, etc…)

  4. Set-up events dedicated to Tennis and Padel with the support of its management and Group Business Leaders

  5. Collect and master comprehensive and updated market data for each sport

  6. Analyze & updated competition activities

  7. Managing Pos material needs (group), including suppliers related to

  8. Use Group asset, Develop and/or participate to digital project for China territory (Community of coach, influencers, Players etc)

  9. Recommend improvement plan & project to the General Manager

  10. Communicate internally about marketing and activation plans


Other Responsabilities :

  1. Manage the budget assigned with best efficiency

  2. Respect Group and Subs calendar for assigned key tasks

  3. Works closely with Group Product Line Manager and Group Brand Activation Dpt (Based in China, HQ) to ensure the best local activation and cooperation

  4. Set-up marketing dashboard and Kpi for each action with results driven, synthesis and improvement proposal


Background knowledge :

  1. Post graduate degree with experience in marketing / brand activation


Expertise :

  1. Experience of 8-10 years in similar marketing / brand activation function for international brand having

  2. Experience in project management and management of internal/external stakeholder

  3. Excellent level of communication and work with all members of the teams in China and at Group level.

  4. Experience in online offline marketing

  5. Experience in sport industry is a plus

  6. Chinese and proficiency level of English is mandatory. French will be an advantage

  1. This position requires autonomy, the responsibility of representing BABOLAT toward external stakeholders : agencies, federation, clubs, clients, suppliers. This position has high visibility at Group level.

    1. Travels :

      1. o 2 International travels planned per year to Europe

      2. o Regular travels in the territories assigned during the year
