Working closely with the Accounting Manager for Japan, Controlling and Group Accounting (based in France), you will act as Business Partner to the Subsidiary Manager.
Your challenges
In collaboration with your manager and the team, your challenges will be as follows:
Analysis and reporting:
- Monthly analysis of the company's performance by studying variances between results and budgets and objectives.
- Identify risks and opportunities and propose corrective actions.
- Design and manage business dashboards (BtB / BtC)
- Produce monthly/quarterly reports and dashboards, business comment summaries, and, in partnership with operational staff, suggest actions for improvement.
- Implement and improve procedures for managing and optimizing the flow of financial information, guaranteeing its reliability and transmission to the relevant departments at Group head office.
- Produce monthly or quarterly reports and dashboards.
- Participate with Group Management Control in improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Forecasting:
- Challenge local monthly forecasts and budget monitoring
- Monitor and forecast operating costs, especially on local projects
- Investments: monitor variances, help calculate ROI
Closing:
- Monitor with the accounting department (local and head office) the proper monthly accounting of flows (risk analysis, provisions, monthly and annual closings).
- Provide monthly stock valuation, depreciation and action-oriented analysis.
- Coordinate and participate in physical inventories (rotating and annual).
Finance Business Partnering:
- Being close to the business, understanding its activities and listening to its needs, being solution-oriented
- Anticipate and adapt to business challenges
- Help manage operational teams: reporting, dashboards, management tools, KPIs
Group missions:
- Maintain the cost-accounting structure in line with Group guidelines and ensure the proper allocation of costs within the subsidiary, and propose improvements.
- Ensure internal control, implement and enforce Group procedures
Finance Business Intelligence Subsidiaries:
- Guarantee the reliability and improve the Information System (Finance in particular)
- Develop decision-making tools: in particular Power BI for visualization
- Act as Finance Coordinator for the roll-out of the ERP/Accounting system: SAP by Design
Your profile
Graduated from a business school or Master 2 with specialization in Finance / Controlling / Auditing / Information Systems, you have proven experience in financial/auditing and/or IT Finance functions.
You have an excellent command of management tools (Excel, Database, BI and ERP).
You are recognized for your analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
Fluency in English is essential, and a second language is a plus.
You will have previous international experience, ideally in Asia.
The position is based in Tokyo, for a period of 1 year.
